WORTH EXPLORINGHELD BACK
The hidden value

Years of everyday operations, quietly piling up.

Every business accumulates valuable information just by doing its job. Most never think of it as an asset — but some of it is exactly what AI developers and data buyers can't get anywhere else.

Industry-specific technical datasets

Test results, field measurements, specifications and site records that only your industry generates.

Equipment maintenance & service histories

Years of faults, fixes and service intervals — the raw material of predictive maintenance.

Operational reports & performance records

Throughput, downtime, utilisation and output, logged consistently over time.

Logistics & supply chain information

Lead times, routes, freight costs and supplier performance.

Historical transactions & pricing

What sold, when, where and for how much — across market cycles.

Property & accommodation data

Occupancy, rates, seasonality and asset condition records.

De-identified customer interaction records

Enquiry and service patterns with personal information removed. Handled with the most care of all.

Proprietary data like this can support AI model development, industry research, predictive analytics and commercial intelligence.

Explore your data's potential

What makes data valuable — check yours.

Five questions, under a minute. It won't put a price on anything — nobody honest can do that without seeing the data — but it will tell you whether a conversation is worth having.

01
Do you have at least three years of records?Long histories are rarer — and far more useful — than recent ones.
02
Is most of it digital and reasonably consistent?Spreadsheets, databases or system exports. Not boxes of paper.
03
Would it be hard for anyone else to collect the same data?Field measurements, specialist work and niche markets tend to be unique.
04
Is the data clearly your business's to license? Not owned by a client, platform or franchisor under contract.
05
Can it be separated from personal information?Names, contact details and anything that identifies a person removed — or never recorded.

How we help

From "we've got years of this" to a signed licence.

Four steps, with a clear stop point after each one. Most of the work happens before any data leaves your hands.

01

Data Discovery

A confidential conversation about what you hold, how it's stored and how far back it goes. We identify the datasets that may have commercial value. Nothing is handed over at this stage.

OUTCOME · CANDIDATE DATASETS
02

Commercial Assessment

We evaluate each dataset's quality, uniqueness, potential applications and licensing suitability — and check ownership and privacy before anything else.

OUTCOME · AN HONEST GO / NO-GO
03

Buyer & Partner Matching

We explore opportunities with relevant AI developers, data platforms, research organisations and commercial data buyers.

OUTCOME · INTEREST TESTED
04

Licensing & Monetisation

We help facilitate commercial discussions and licensing arrangements, subject to the appropriate legal, privacy and ownership requirements. You approve every term.

Who we work with

Built for businesses with years of records.

We focus on industries where operational data is specialised, hard to collect and rarely made public.

Mining, drilling & energy

Drilling records, site data, equipment and production logs.

Property & real estate

Transactions, leasing, valuations and asset condition.

Hospitality & tourism

Occupancy, pricing, seasonality and demand.

Logistics & transport

Routes, freight, fleet and delivery performance.

Manufacturing & industrial services

Production, quality, yield and maintenance.

Equipment rental & field services

Utilisation, servicing and job histories.

Restructuring, acquisitions & divestments

Historical data is easy to overlook in a transaction. Who owns it must be confirmed as part of any deal.

Whether your business is actively operating, restructuring or preparing for a sale, your historical operational data may represent an overlooked commercial asset.

Opportunities in AI data

AI developers need data the internet doesn't have.

General-purpose AI learned from public data. The systems being built now for specific industries need specialised, high-quality data to train, evaluate and improve them — the kind that sits in operational records, not on websites.

01 / APPLICATION

AI training & evaluation datasets

Real-world, specialised examples that general web data can't supply — both to train models and to test whether they actually work.

Industry-specific AI models

A model built for one industry needs data from that industry. Very little of it is public.

Predictive analytics

Long, consistent histories let models forecast failures, demand and costs.

Market intelligence

Aggregated pricing and activity data that helps others understand how a market moves.

Historical benchmarking

Years of performance records that give an industry a baseline to measure against.

Benchmarks

Not every dataset has commercial value, and a sale is never guaranteed. Part of the job is telling you early when yours doesn't.

Privacy, security & confidentiality

Your data. Your control.

We take a privacy-conscious approach to every data partnership. Nothing is shared, transferred or licensed until ownership is clear, privacy has been dealt with and you've agreed the terms.

No obligation to sell or license

Exploring it commits you to nothing. You can stop at any point.

Confidential initial discussions

The first conversation is about what you hold — not handing it over.

Ownership and usage rights verified

Contracts with clients, suppliers and platforms are checked before anything goes further.

Privacy obligations considered before any disclosure

Including your obligations under the Privacy Act and any confidentiality clauses you've signed.

De-identified or aggregated where appropriate

Personal and commercially sensitive detail removed, or rolled up so it can't be traced back.

Commercial terms agreed before any authorised transfer

What's licensed, to whom, for what use and for how long — in writing, first.

An honest no

If we don't think a deal is worth pursuing, we'll tell you.

Questions

The things everyone asks first.

Often, yes — for data your business owns and that doesn't identify people. But it depends on your contracts, any confidentiality obligations and the Privacy Act. That's why ownership and privacy are checked first, before anything is shared. We're not a law firm: where an arrangement needs legal sign-off, it comes from your own adviser.
Not usually. A licence gives a buyer defined rights to use a dataset — for a particular purpose, for a set time — while you keep ownership. Exactly what's granted is agreed in writing before anything changes hands.
Personal information can often be removed, de-identified or aggregated so it can't be traced back to anyone. Sometimes that can't be done safely, and then the dataset isn't suitable. We'll tell you which is which.
Honestly, it depends — and many datasets have little or no licensing value. Value comes from rarity, history, consistency and whether anyone actually needs it. We won't put a number on it before it's been assessed, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
No. The first conversation is a description of what you hold. Samples only come into it later, if it's worth going further, and only on terms you've agreed.
Then you've lost nothing but a conversation — there's no obligation at any stage. And the same data is often worth more inside your business, through better reporting, forecasting or automation, which is what we build every day.
An initial read on whether it's worth pursuing is quick — usually after a single conversation. Licensing arrangements take longer, often months, because buyers run their own checks on quality and rights.
It can. Historical data is easy to overlook in a sale or restructure. Who owns it needs to be confirmed as part of the transaction, and it's worth knowing what you hold before terms are set.
